Netflix Officially Confirms Season 3 of 'Sex Education' for 2021

Third time’s a charm, Maeve and Otis.

Fans of Netflix‘s Sex Education rejoice — the streaming giant has officially confirmed that the TV show will be renewed for Season 3, set to premiere sometime in 2021. Principal Groff, played by Alistair Petrie, made the exciting announcement in a video while guiding viewers through a Moordale High art exhibition.

Walking through the halls of the high school, Petrie highlights some of the paintings on the wall featuring the main cast of Sex Education : Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) looking prim and proper with a stack of books, Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) carrying a bunch of eggplants and Adam Groff (Connor Swindells) holding his family dog.

The video carries on with Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) pulling petals off a daisy, Ola (Patricia Allison) with half a dozen oranges in her arms and Lily (Tanya Reynolds) wearing a flower crown. Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) is seen embracing a baseball bat, Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) mimics Shakespeare’s self-portrait holding a skull and Dr. Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson) sits in her chair looking effortlessly radiant.

The clip finally ends with a painting of Eric and Adam together where Petrie says, “Eric and Adam, I wonder what is in store for these two cherubs. Well, I suppose you will have to find out in season 3, won’t you?”

Netflix has not revealed the official premiere date of Sex Education Season 3 yet, but expect your Moordale favorites to return in 2021. If you haven’t caught up with Season 2 yet, here’s everything you need to know about it.
