Nike's Latest Air Jordan 1 Mid Draws From Milan's Rich Tradition and Gothic Architecture

Available for pre-release on February 19 at One Block Down in Milan.

Nike has just unveiled a new addition to the Air Jordan 1 Mid family arriving in sun-glinted pastel colors inspired by Milan‘s gothic architecture. Arriving in pastel hues and caramel tones, the sneaker references Italy’s capital city’s spires paying homage to its roots back in 1986, when the Air Jordan 2’s manufacturing process jumpstarted the Swoosh brand’s interest in fine Italian craftsmanship.

A mix of white, grey, tan and soft beige shades appear on the silhouette’s leather, suede and canvas upper. The shoe features ribbed tan leather material on the heel and mudguard, while supple grey suede can be found on the toebox and eye stays. The iconic Swoosh has been incorporated with a muted grey hue along with a white midsole and soft tan outsole right below. Rounding out the design is its collar flaps that present a luxe debossed ball-and-wings logo.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan” retails for $130 USD which will release on February 19 exclusively at ONE BLOCK DOWN in Milan. In case you missed it, don’t forget to check out Parisian-inspired Air Jordan 1 Low here.
