adidas by Stella McCartney Blends Club Inspiration with High Performance Wear
Introducing “Club Collective” and “Boxfit”.
The ongoing partnership between adidas and Stella McCartney continues to be a fruitful one, producing perfectly balanced collections that exemplify the best of both brands. The two latest capsules for Spring/Summer 2020, “Club Collective” and “Boxfit”, are no exceptions. Boasting a selection of bold training looks and silhouettes, the “Club Collective” range carries a heavy dose of inspiration harking back to the days of Stella McCartney’s youth spent in the London club scene. Standout pieces include a woven all-in-one jumpsuit with subtle branding and an intricate, ruffled seam running down the sleeves of the arm as well as an oversized, printed parka made with 100% recycled polyester and water-repellent fabric that allows for workouts in all weather conditions.
“The adidas by Stella McCartney collaboration began 15 years ago and has stayed true to delivering the best in performance wear through a fashion lens,” explains Stella McCartney herself. “This season celebrates my favorite classic training looks with updated design touches for the next generation.”
Rounding out the release is the “Boxfit” capsule that consists of a number of highly functional pieces that draw inspiration from adidas’ long history of creating boxing apparel. Aesthetic influence comes from the wave of new-age boxing studios currently populating Brooklyn. The track pants are made with an organic cotton outer layer for maximum comfort and, in keeping with Stella McCartney’s high fashion credentials, a flared trouser design elevates them above the traditional track pant. The capsule also includes eye-catching, ultra lightweight boxing boots with a rubber footing and suede overlays.
