Brooklyn singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker has finally released the music video for his latest single, “not ur friend,” from his highly anticipated debut album, love is not dying. Zucker shared the concept behind his new project saying:
“We really just wanted to make a fun, lighthearted video, which is something I don’t get the opportunity to do often. We experimented with new colors and aesthetics to give it a different feeling and look. Given the sentiment of the song, it felt like the right time to take a bit of a different approach to the video too.”
The song was co-written in collaboration with Max Martin’s MXM team – Rickard Goransson, Rami Yacoub and James Allan – and produced by Zucker himself. It is also the only track in the album Zucker wrote in a session with other writers. Hence, the direct message of its lyrics about cutting a toxic person out of your life. The artist has also announced that he will embark on his love is not dying tour around the U.S. and Europe starting this April.
