Peggy Gou's Kirin Incorporates Traditional Korean Elements Into Contemporary Design for Its FW20 Collection
The label’s lookbook features new tailored, feminine silhouettes incorporated with dynamic prints.
Peggy Gou‘s clothing label Kirin has finally unveiled its Fall/Winter 2020 collection lookbook. This season, the DJ and style icon has brought together traditional Korean and contemporary elements featuring vibrant, geometric patterns throughout the range’s offerings.
Tailored, feminine silhouettes and comfortable day-to-night looks arrive in dynamic graphics including the label’s own take on “dancheong” – a traditional Korean painted motif found on wooden buildings and artifacts. Garments include oversized coats, sleek blazers, miniskirts and a habotai silk dress. Kirin’s recurring pajama theme has been incorporated into the collection featuring relaxed volumes of sweatshirt sleeves, quilt-inspired blanket coats and palazzo pants. Accessories such as floppy faux fur hats and matching bags round out the line.
