Y-3 Delves Into Beachwear Aesthetics for the Final Drop of Its SS20 Collection

Including summer-friendly accessories and slides.

Following a recent reimagination of the iconic Superstar sneaker, Yohji Yamamato is continuing his partnership with adidas Originals on Y-3 for a fourth and final drop for the Spring/Summer 2020 season. Titled “Swim,” the latest range focuses on summer-friendly aesthetics, taking inspiration from none other than swimwear.

Merging Yamamoto’s designs with adidas‘ sporting technologies, the “Swim” offering is complete with sheer, lightweight materials found on items such as cropped tops, short-sleeved shirts and more. Vivid patterns and neon colors dominate the collection for an overall lively feel for the upcoming season. The performance-tested pieces are accompanied by beach accessories such as the Y-3 Beach Bag and Y-3 Big Towel. As for footwear, functional slides and sandals are added to the collection with the Y-3 Slide and Y-3 Sandal. The former takes inspiration from adidas’ iconic adilette slides, while the sandals are enhanced with detachable straps.

Scroll through the gallery above for a full look at the campaign and lookbook for the fourth and final drop of Y-3’s SS20 collection, which arrives on March 19 at adidas’ online store or select retailers and Y-3 locations worldwide.
