ORIGINAL STORY (April 29, 2020): Video game company Ubisoft is revealing the location for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed game in a YouTube livestream. The broadcast, which began two hours ago and is still streaming, shows a Photoshop screen in action as artist BossLogic creates and edits what will eventually turn into the setting for the game.
The silhouette of a video game character separates two landscapes, one an icy body of water and the other a grassy hill. Wooden boats are situated in the water while a castle sits atop the hill, overlooking what appears to be a battle scene. Though it’s not entirely clear what the final result will be, publications such as Forbes predict the upcoming video game will be Viking-themed.
