
Disney Announces New Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 4 Release Dates
Postponed due to coronavirus-related concerns.
The coronavirus pandemic has hit Hollywood hard, forcing the postponement of numerous movies. Responding to health concerns, Disney has given its lineup of upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films — including Black Widow and Thor 4 – new premieres.
Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson has been pushed to November 6, 2020 from its previously planned release in May. The Eternals will now hit theaters on February 12, 2021 and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has moved to May 7, 2021. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has been postponed to November 5, 2021 and Thor: Love and Thunder won’t premiere until February 18, 2022. In an unexpected turn of events, the mysterious Untitled Marvel Movie slated for July 29, 2022 has been revealed as Captain Marvel 2 and will debut earlier than anticipated on July 8, 2022.
Elsewhere in film, The French Dispatch starring Timothée Chalamet has also received a new release date.
