Dr. Martens Taps Yohji Yamamoto to Celebrate Its 60th Anniversary
Marking its fourth partnership for the 1460 Remastered project.
Following partnerships with BAPE, Hello Kitty and Raf Simons, Dr. Martens has now unveiled its fourth collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The latest release is part of the 1460 Remastered project, which features a total of 12 designers teaming up with the footwear label.
The first designer to have ever collaborated with Dr. Martens, Yamamoto revisits the partnership with a new iteration of the 8-hole boot. An orange hue peeps through the black leather upper with destructive spider web patterns throughout. The overall shoe is accentuated with a limited-edition, silver spider embellishment placed on the shoelaces, along with the Japanese creative’s signature imprinted on the tongue and insoles. Finishing off the design are gold-colored eyelets along with Dr. Martens’ signature orange stitching at the soles.
