Tokyo-based technology label BALMUDA is finally bringing its popular kitchen appliances, the Toaster and Kettle, to the United States. The home accessories have been known ever since their initial launch in 2015 for their revolutionary designs and minimal aesthetic.
Founded by former rock musician Gen Terao, BALMUDA has achieved cult status for its Toaster, which utilizes steam technology and four-setting temperature control for the ultimate crunchy yet moist toast. With just one teaspoon of water placed in a small compartment, the gadget not only reheats bread, but also can be used as a mini oven for cooking dishes such as gratin, cookies and frozen goods. Meanwhile, the Kettle is popular for its lightweight design sporting a thin spout, making it perfect for daily use.
