'Paper Mario: The Origami King' Will Soon Be Available On Nintendo Switch
Save Princess Peach and the world with Mario and Luigi.
While Nintendo announced a list of new games rolling out for the Switch console this month, the Japanese gaming company has now revealed a new Paper Mario: The Origami King release coming soon. The news has Super Mario fans excited, as there have been rumors on remastered versions of the classic series arriving this summer to celebrate the franchise’s 35th anniversary.
Kicking off with Princess Peach inviting Mario and Luigi to her kingdom, the trailer for the upcoming game teases an evil plot from King Olly, the ruler of Origami Kingdom. “This game marks the debut of the Paper Mario series on Nintendo Switch, expanding the vast library of games with another standout entry in a beloved franchise,” Nick Chavez, Nintendo America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented in an official press release. Throughout the game, players are challenged to prevent King Olly from conquering the world and of course, to protect Princess Peach. Unlike previous versions of the story, Mario is now equipped with a new ability called “1000-Fold Arms,” allowing control over the landscape by pulling and peeling new locations, which will help with solving puzzles throughout the journey.
