UGG Celebrates Pride Month with All-Gender Slides Collection

Peep the campaign here featuring actor and activist, Tommy Dorfman.

In honor of Pride Month (June), UGG has released its “Pride” collection in partnership with GLAAD and the Pacific Pride Foundation. The range features the Disco Checker Slide and Fluff Yeah silhouettes, which are all available in vibrant color palettes inspired by the LGBTQ+ rainbow flag.

The platform slides boast a cozy checkerboard fluff material, a logo-embellished elastic back strap and the label’s UGGplush™ wool blend. As for the Fluff Yeah, the pair sports sheepskin fabric throughout, the same branded elastic heel strap for a secure fit, as well as a rubber outsole that provides traction. Alongside the launch, the Southern California-based brand has unveiled its #UGGPRIDE campaign starring 13 Reasons Why‘s Tommy Dorfman, and activists Cora Delaney and Kai-Isaiah Jamel. Take a look at the imagery above, which was shot at “PROUD Prom” – an annual celebration hosted by the Pacific Pride Foundation and UGG – back in February.

Honoring its ongoing relationship with GLAAD, UGG will be donating $125,000 USD to support the nonprofit organization’s culture-changing programs. “With both its ‘PROUD Prom’ and colorful, all-gender ‘Pride’ collection, UGG is stepping up and finding unique and creative ways for LGBTQ+ people, especially LGBTQ+ youth, to showcase their pride this June,” said GLAAD’s Senior Director John McCourt in a press release. “By partnering with GLAAD, UGG is helping to support GLAAD’s work in training the next generation of storytellers, activists, and changemakers who will help to move hearts and minds.”

In addition to the drop, the footwear brand will host an inclusive virtual prom with Dorfman on May 15 at 8 p.m. EST via UGG’s website. The experience will include a makeup tutorial by Kali Kennedy, a Q&A session moderated by ALOK, a special appearance by actor Shangela and more.

The UGG “Pride” collection is now available to shop online and at select UGG stores. While you’re here, check out our roundup of the best indoor slippers to invest in this season.
