Sister Duo Chloe x Halle Release Sophomore Album, 'Ungodly Hour'
Listen to all 13 songs here.
After postponing the release of their sophomore album earlier this month in respect of the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless others, Chloe and Halle Bailey have officially dropped Ungodly Hour via Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. The album features 13 tracks and explores the themes of love and regret.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, Chloe explains how she’s been inspired by ’90s music and early ’00s production, which you can distinguish from the song, “Do It.” “We wanted to show our sensual side because we are growing as young women, but we still kept it classy and cute,” Chloe told the publication. In addition, the sister duo worked with Disclosure on the “Ungodly Hour” track and explained the inspiration behind the piece: “We all came up with this sentence: ‘Love me at the ungodly hour,’ which means love me when I’m at my worst; love me when I’m not all dolled up and made up. Love me when all my insecurities are out on the table.”
You can now listen to Chloe x Halle’s Ungodly Hour on all streaming platforms. Elsewhere in music, Aluna has just dropped her new single titled, “Warrior” featuring SG Lewis.
