Multiple Women Share Stories of Comedian Chris D'Elia's Predatory Behavior
Several accounts allege D’Elia pursued young girls online and groomed them.
Comedian Chris D’Elia, who recently appeared in the second season of Netflix thriller You, has been accused of predatory behavior by multiple women, many of whom were underage at the time of D’Elia’s alleged misconduct.
On June 16, Simoné Rossi of Twitter account @girlpowertbh posted screenshots of emails between her and D’Elia that were sent when she was only 16-years-old. D’Elia, who was 34 at the time, asked if the two could “make out.” In a separate Tweet, Rossi pointed out the dark irony of D’Elia’s role as Henderson, a stand-up comic and pedophile, in hit series You.
Following Rossi’s decision to come forward with her story, additional women shared their disturbing experiences. “You solicited nudes from minors while u were in vancouver,” one woman Tweeted of D’Elia while highly followed account @SheRatesDogs, which compiles women’s dating experiences, revealed that numerous stories detailing the comedian’s misconduct have poured in.
Unsurprisingly, D’Elia has denied all allegations. “I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point,” he told TMZ.
