Netflix Releases All 'Unsolved Mysteries' Case Evidence on Reddit
Asking Internet detectives to help provide any new tips or leads they may have.
Adding to its strong lineup of documentary series, Netflix released a reboot of Unsolved Mysteries earlier this month. With the show maintaining its spot on the streaming service’s “Top 10 Most Watched List” ever since its premiere, numerous viewers have taken to Reddit to further uncover each of the cases with new tips and leads. To help the process, Netflix has now dropped all of the information the team had obtained during production in a Google Drive.
Prior to Netflix’s involvement, numerous users have already been sharing theories on a Reddit thread dubbed “Unresolved Mysteries.” One particular thread on Rey Rivera, whose story is shared in the first episode of the show, has had users discussing the mystery since three years ago. As shared by Thrillist, a user in the thread pointed out the similarities between the case and a David Fincher movie titled The Game.
“Hey guys, Netflix here! We’ve created a public drive with all the assembled evidence, case files, interviews, and video clips for each story that didn’t make it into the final episodes,” the streaming platform emerged on Reddit on July 7 to ask Internet sleuths for help. The thread has since received almost 500 comments including viewers’ various thoughts and evidence on the stories.
You can head over to Netflix’s Reddit thread below to learn more details about each case that weren’t revealed in the final cut of Unsolved Mysteries. The remaining six episodes of the docuseries are set to arrive later this year.
