New Balance's COVID-19 Face Mask Is Now Available to the Public

Help control the spread of the virus with this washable mask.

Following the production of its facial masks for the hospital community back in April, New Balance‘s COVID-19 mask is now available for the public to purchase. The piece comes in a navy blue colorway and is constructed out of nylon tricot, polyurethane and polyester material.

Additional features include the shoelace-inspired straps that wrap around the head, and the moldable nose clip that can be adjusted according to the user’s preference. Despite its “Single Use Only” label, the non-surgical mask is washable in accordance to its care instructions: “Machine Wash Cold with like colors – Delicate/Gentle Cycle. Tumble Dry Low – Delicate/Gentle Cycle. Do Not Bleach. Do Not Iron.”

The mask is currently sold out on YCMC, but you can get your hands on one via Oneness starting at $10 USD. In related news, a Japanese company is developing a “smart mask” that can translate conversations.
