Dr. Martens Taps Needles for Its Eighth 1460 Remastered Collaboration
Following previous partnerships with A-COLD-WALL*, Undercover and more.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Dr. Martens has been showcasing 12 one-off partnerships this year with previous collaborations including A-COLD-WALL* and Undercover. This time around, the British footwear brand has tapped cult-favorite Needles for its latest 1460 boot.
Highlighting the Japanese label’s vintage Americana, military and sportswear-inspired details, the design is a celebration of the old and new. The shoe arrives in the form of Dr. Martens’ classic 1460 while Needles’ signature purple track pant stripe runs down the upper. Further accentuating the boot, designer Keizo Shimizu’s trademark “Papillon” butterfly motif is placed at the toe. The overall look is contrasted with yellow stitching along the midsole. Shoelaces arrive in three options including a versatile black iteration, as well as purple and silver colorways.
