COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS Releases Its First In-House Sneaker
The chunky silhouette, dubbed Cross Trainer, debuted on the label’s FW20 runway.
Having worked on numerous collaborations with sportswear giants like Nike over previous years, COMME des GARÇONS has finally dropped its first in-house sneaker via its HOMME PLUS line. Dubbed Cross Trainer, the new kicks made their first appearance on the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 runway.
Boasting a chunky shape overall, the sneakers arrive in tonal white and black iterations. Focusing on a minimal aesthetic, the shoe sports mesh as the base of the upper, along with matte leather overlays. Highlighting practicality and versatility, the Cross Trainer features an elastic lacing system that wraps around the collar, with a toggle fastening at the heel. Keeping branding subtle, CDG’s logo is printed on the medials just above the midsole, which utilizes Vibram’s signature RollinGait system for an ergonomic design.
