Skechers Announces Adorable Hello Kitty Sneaker Collaboration
Applying the beloved cartoon character to footwear and apparel.
Fashion’s favorite cat is giving Skechers sneakers an adorable makeover — the footwear brand, an early ’00s favorite that has resurged in popularity over recent years, has announced a collaboration with Hello Kitty.
The Skechers Energy, a chunky-soled style, arrives with a white upper emblazoned with a tonal white stripe bearing the brand’s spellout logo alongside Hello Kitty’s face. At the lateral, the Skechers “S” is adorned with the cartoon cat’s signature red bow. Three additional colorways apply black, pink and red stripes to the otherwise all-white sneaker.
The V’lite, a low-top silhouette, is constructed of a white canvas upper and colored sole in five options: blue, green, yellow, red and black. A simplified version of Hello Kitty’s face appears at the lateral and complemented by rainbow shoelace eyelets. Lastly, the strap of slides (available in black, white and pink iterations) is stamped with the cat. Apparel options include T-shirts and long-sleeve pullovers printed with Hello Kitty in various sports uniforms including wrestling and basketball outfits.
