Meet Terry, the Australian Brand Making '70s Cool Terrycloth Sets
From oversized shirts to cozy playsuits.
Bonded over a shared love of European resort wear and 1970s American poolside attire, Lucy Halfpenny and fashion photographer Brigette Clark launched Terry in 2019 with a capsule of summer staples made out of terry towelling. Known for its a lineup of chic basics ranging from crop tops to wrap skirts, the emerging Australian label has been quickly picked up by a number of international retailers. Now, as the Southern Hemisphere moves into spring, the brand has restocked a trio of popular items from a recent drop.
The re-release features the brand’s signature oversized, button-up Boxy Shirt ($164 USD), Estate Short ($134 USD) and Il Pareo Jumpsuit ($224 USD) in “Rosato” pastel pink. Each piece is hand-dyed and are made with 100 percent cotton terrycloth. While these silhouettes are designed for vacations and beach outings, they make for cozy, elevated loungewear for your stay-at-home wardrobe as well.
To shop the “Rosato” range, head to Terry’s web store or stockists like MATCHESFASHION.
