Bottega Veneta Is No Longer on Social Media

Deleting its Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Earlier today, Bottega Veneta deleted all of its social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. This unexpected move follows creative director Daniel Lee‘s latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection, which only a select few were able to attend in person.

As Business of Fashion points out, fashion relies on social media as its main marketing tool and direct line of communication with customers. Over the past year, brands have explored other strategies online due to the ongoing pandemic, adapting to new ways and catering to the “new normal.” With COVID-19 still affecting many industries across the globe, it is unclear why Bottega Veneta has chosen this unconventional route.
