Bottega Veneta's SS21 Collection Has Us Excited for Post-Pandemic Dressing
Daniel Lee delivers playful, brightly colored knits for the new season.
On December 14, Daniel Lee presented his latest collection for Bottega Veneta at an intimate showing in London. Dubbed “Salon 01,” the Spring/Summer 2021 range is exactly what we want to wear once quarantine is over. Full of optimistic colors and playful knits, Lee adds a healthy dose of whimsy to sophisticated silhouettes.
Coordinated knit jacket and miniskirt sets arrive in saturated green and pastel blue, while simple mini-dresses are fabricated in chunky sweater material and, in one case, shiny paillettes. Merging the ’70s and ’90s, a slinky, full-length slip dress is woven out of flower-accented yarn and paired with a beaded flower necklace. Lee’s experimentation with crochet extends to his hit handbags, which are knit in spring-ready shades including lavender, lime green and bright red. In footwear, chunky mules with subtly curved heels steal the spotlight as next season’s must-have shoe.
