Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" Resale Prices Jump
Just hours after the announcement of Virgil Abloh’s death.
Following the news of streetwear and fashion visionary Virgil Abloh‘s untimely death, reports are stating that the resale prices of the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago” have skyrocketed. Initially released in 2017 for $190 USD, the shoe is now being resold for price tags ranging from $5,300 to $10,000 USD.
The collaborative shoe marks the beginning of Abloh’s partnership with Nike. The coveted sneaker led to the duo’s “The Ten” collection, which celebrated some of the Swoosh brand’s most iconic silhouettes. Arriving in the iconic “Chicago” colorway, this particular design features “AIR” branding on the midsole along with Abloh’s signature zip-tie hanging from the laces. Overall, the kicks don a contrasting look with black on the ankle, Air Jordan emblem and Swoosh, and bold red on the mudguard, lacing system and heel.
