Hulu Removes 'Astroworld: Concert From Hell' Documentary From Its Roster After Backlash
Regarding Travis Scott’s infamous festival.
Hours after Hulu added a Travis Scott-related documentary called Astroworld: Concert From Hell to its roster, the streaming platform removed it after receiving backlash on social media.
“This was an investigative local news special from ABC13/KTRK-TV in Houston that originally aired on November 20th,” a Hulu spokesperson told Variety. “This was not a Hulu documentary and has since been removed to avoid confusion.”
While Hulu pulled the documentary from their site, the description still appears in some places online. “Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival was supposed to be the concert of a lifetime. But it turned into a tragic nightmare,” reads the Hulu description. “A minute-by-minute look at what happened in the crowd, the young victims who were killed, and what happens next.”
The Astroworld Festival, which took place on November 5, resulted in 10 lives lost due to a crowd surge. Scott has recently hired celebrity attorney Daniel Petrocelli for defense as he faces hundreds of lawsuits.
