The Latest Nike Waffle One Comes With Hidden Cartoon Characters
Marking the first installment of “Everybody’s Nike Running Club.”
Historically, Nike has used sneakers as a way to highlight sociopolitical issues. The Swoosh is celebrating inclusivity with a fictional “Everybody’s Nike Running Club.” The first model in the new collection is the Nike Waffle One, a sleek running sneaker with a mesh base, suede overlays and an architectural heel.
The Waffle One “Everybody’s Nike Running Club” sports a colorful tan, brown, olive, pink, teal, black and beige colorway atop a gray speckled midsole. A playful cast of cartoon characters including a turtle and bird adorns the insole with a big-eyed mini Swoosh making a cameo on the shoe’s tongue. A new “Everybody’s Nike Running Club” logo is added to the heel, completing the look.
