Vans Taps Opening Ceremony for a Collaborative Capsule Collection
Featuring footwear, apparel and accessories.
Together with OC founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Vans has reinvented the label’s iconic checkerboard print with abstract snake and leopard patterns, taking on the Vans Authentic sneaker. “Vans has been a long-time creative partner of ours, and we’re so excited to collaborate on its iconic print this season,” said Opening Ceremony Creative Director Humberto Leon. “For this new capsule collection, Carol and I are inspired to reinvent the checkerboard, taking a new graphic approach to Vans’ classic pattern.” Arriving in four iterations, one coated in a graphic print available in black and red colorways, as well as a quilted version coming in “Orchid” and “Baja Blue.” As for the apparel, the collection features a black-and-white patterned tracksuit as well as a matching tote bag.
