A Disney Animator Has Reimagined Your Favorite Musicians As Cartoon Characters

Including animated versions of Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.

Conceptualizing and designing animated characters is no easy task, especially for multinational mass media companies like Disney. For those who are unfamiliar, Alex Alvarado is the brains behind Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and more from Frozen and Frozen 2, as well as Moana.

Other than his work for the Mickey Mouse company, Alvarado also uses his talent to transform musicians like Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Kendrick Lamar into their cartoon versions. As seen above, Alvarado pays great attention to detail and focuses on every single element from the subject’s hair strands to the embroidery of their garments.
