Britney Spears to "Directly" Address Her Conservatorship Case in Court
Will this 13-year-long legal battle finally come to an end?
Back in February, Britney Spears‘ father lost a court bid to become his daughter’s sole conservator. Following the hearing, the pop star is finally set to address her long-standing conservatorship to the court in Los Angeles in around two month’s time.
According to The New York Times, Spears’ lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, said that she requested to seek “from the court a status hearing at which she can address the court directly.” While Ingham did not disclose the content of what Spears will be saying in court, he stated that the hearing would be related to the “status of the [13-year] conservatorship.”
Judge Brenda Penny granted the request and scheduled the hearing for June 23, while an additional hearing will take place in July.
