CELINE’s Fall/Winter 2021 Is for the Ultimate Cool Girl
Hedi Slimane showcases “a melancholic daydream of youth interrupted.”
If there is one thing that CELINE‘s Fall/Winter 2021 collection proved, it is that Hedi Slimane has the ultimate “cool girl” look nailed down. Titled “PARADE,” the collection was showcased at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte in the gardens by André Le Nôtre, combining the feel of French luxury and countryside.
Described as “A melancholic daydream of youth interrupted,” the collection nailed today’s youth. Confident yet casual, combining a luxury handbag with oversized blazers and everyday hoodies, finished off with sleek sunglasses and boots. Previous collections have been more logo-heavy, whereas the Fall/Winter 2021 range sees a more minimal approach, only playing around with iterations of the label’s popular baseball cap. Young, sleek and wearable, the collection is the perfect depiction of the modern it girl, a concept that Hedi Slimane’s CELINE has nailed with its ambassadors including BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and Kaia Gerber. The label has embraced the youth fully, being one of the first luxury brands to start using TikTok and social media.
