Dr. Martens Celebrates 60 Years of the 1461 Shoe With All-New Designs
Pops of color accentuate the OG silhouette.
Shortly after revealing its latest collaboration with Supreme, Dr. Martens has now unveiled a full collection of new designs celebrating the 60th anniversary of the 1461 silhouette. The lineup features an array of colorways for the spring and summer seasons.
In honor of the durable footwear style that was initially designed for workers, the new range keeps the functionality of the silhouette while adding design details that complete a sleek look. Kicking off the pack is the 1461 Zip and Elastic styles in black that are both accentuated with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitching along the soles. The original 1461 shoe also arrives in a vibrant “Peppermint Green” shade with a smooth finish. Elsewhere, the collection highlights the 1461 Iced in “Black,” “Cherry Red” and “Pale Pink,” which don a translucent sole in replacement of the original black.
