Netflix has announced that a new reality TV show is in the works based on TikTok‘s The Hype House. According to Deadline, the series will be produced with Wheelhouse Entertainment.
“Wheelhouse was launched as a one-stop shop for talent and creators looking to leverage their own brands through content. It’s incredibly gratifying to partner with Netflix on this show and elevate the next generation of stars and entrepreneurs,” Wheelhouse Group’s Chief Content Officer Eric Wattenberg said in a statement.
For those who don’t know, The Hype House is a group of Los Angeles digital influencers who have a combined total of 124 million followers on TikTok. The series will star founders Chase Hudson and Thomas Petrou, as well as Nikita Dragun, Kouvr Annon, Sienna Mae Gomez, Larri Merritt, Alex Warren and Jack Wright. Each episode will spotlight the group’s lives in their communal mansion in LA and feature the backstories of the housemates.
