SK-II's Cult-Loved Pitera Essence Returns as Special Edition
Celebrating the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Having released the “Spring Doll” iteration last year, SK-II has returned with new bottles for its cult-loved Facial Treatment Essence, also known as the Pitera Essence. Celebrating the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics (which is scheduled to commence July 23 as of now), the designs take inspiration from the Games’ multicolored rings.
The bottle comes in a simple white base, with “TOKYO” printed across the front and SK-II’s logo at the bottom. Arriving in five options – black, blue, green, red and yellow – the round caps symbolize hope and unity in support for the Olympics with SK-II being an official partner. For those who have yet to try it, the essence is comprised of 90 percent Pitera formula, which is loved for its nourishing and hydrating qualities.
The special edition product is offered in limited sets alongside some of SK-II’s best-selling skincare goods, with prices from $1,574 to $3,714 HKD (approximately $203 to $479 USD). The Pitera Essence will be available at stores in Hong Kong from June 1.
