Teddy Santis – Aimé Leon Dore‘s founder and newly-appointed creative director of New Balance – has unveiled a first look at the sixth iteration of the 990 shoe. The latest silhouette follows up on the popular 990v5 style.

“990v6 for 2022,” the creative took to Instagram, hinting that the new design will likely drop next year. The kicks come dressed in NB’s signature minimalist gray color theme all over with mesh material serving as the base. Meanwhile, hits of suede are found on the mudguard, lacing system and heels, contrasting the “N” branding outlined in white.
