Wasabi the Pekingese Is the Hottest Dog in America

The 3-year-old pup was crowned Best in Show at Westminster.

A Pekingese named Wasabi won Best in Show at the 145th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Sunday night, a title that clinches his status as the gold standard of all breeds (AKA the Hottest Dog in America).

The 3-year-old pup, who beat out several fierce competitors including Mathew the French Bulldog, Bourbon the Whippet and Striker the Samoyed, celebrated his win with a filet mignon, according to breeder David Fitzpatrick (“I’ll have champagne,” he told CNN). King shit, truly. “[Wasabi is] just a wonderful dog and he’s made correctly…He fits the breed standard. He has that little extra something, that little sparkle that sets a dog apart,” Fitzpatrick gushed, adding that he “deserves his own chariot.” Indeed.

We can see why Wasabi won — his silky tresses put Fabio to shame. (This dog needs to drop his haircare routine immediately.) Also, can we talk about his build? And that waddle? We can only assume that all the bitches are lining up for a chance to reproduce with the absolute unit that is Wasabi.
