YUME YUME Debuts New Silhouettes in FW21 Range, "Living Above Clouds"
The hiking-inspired styles are captured in a set of dreamy images.
Amsterdam-based footwear label YUME YUME is welcoming the Fall/Winter 2021 season with new shoes. Collectively dubbed “Living Above Clouds,” the range features two never-before-seen silhouettes inspired by hiking.
Lensed by photographer Myrthe Giesbers, the accompanying campaign is showcased through a series of dreamy visuals. “Above the clouds, there is a world of white puffiness. A place where the sun is always shining and the sky is always blue. This feeling we expressed in our FW21 collection where our puffy key styles are exhibited in new cloudy colorways,” the brand’s creative director Eva Korsten spoke of the collection.
Standing out from the lineup is the Cloud Walker, a winterproof version of YUME YUME’s signature Hiking Sandal. The design sports technical details throughout, including the chunky Vibram sole and a neoprene shaft. Meanwhile, the Campshoe — a minimal, clog-like style complete with a vegan leather outer layer — is given a new “Nimbus Cloud” iteration with puffy silk fabric for a three-dimensional feel. The collection is complete with the Goofy Sneaker that dons an oval shape with a thick outsole.
