Fendi Debuts Luxury Cryptocurrency Wallet on FW22 Men's Runway
Created in partnership with global digital asset management platform, Ledger.
More luxury houses are tapping into web3 including Fendi, which unveiled a new partnership with global digital asset management platform Ledger on its recent Fall/Winter 2022 menswear runway.
Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the collaboration features two silver cases for Ledger’s secure hardware crypto wallet. One silhouette replicates the shape of Fendi’s iconic Baguette bag in polished aluminum. The piece opens up to reveal a small pocket that holds the Ledger Nano X. The second style resembles Fendi’s O’Lock chain, with the signature FF branding embossed on the accessory that flips open.
“Fendi is a synonym for innovation and craftsmanship, and we love to trick the eye. For us, creation is just as much about the invisible as the visible — which is why it’s so important for us to embrace the near future and become a bridge for physical and virtual luxury,” said the brand’s creative director of accessories. “Applying the Fendi codes to Ledger’s innovative devices is an exciting first step in this direction.” Fendi further explained in a press release: “Through this pioneering union, Fendi and Ledger acknowledge the limitless possibilities of Web 3.0 and the metaverse, ushering in a new generation of luxury and craftsmanship that bridges the physical and virtual worlds.”
The Ledger x Fendi partnership is slated to release via the fashion label’s website in June 2022.
