Raveena Announces Release Date for Sophomore Album, 'Asha's Awakening'
The artist drops her second single, “Secret” ft. Vince Staples, from the record.
Raveena is set to debut her sophomore album titled Asha’s Awakening.
Following “Rush,” the R&B and soul songstress’s second track from the record, “Secret” featuring Vince Staples, has landed on all streaming platforms. Inspired by early ’00s pop and the cinematic sounds of Bollywood, the single boasts a dance-club-ready beat and is about courting a lover. “Secret” arrives alongside an accompanying music video starring the artist in traditional Indian jewelry as she dances and shows off her aerial silks.
“To me, ‘Secret’ is a song about love that traverses through different dimensions. People on Earth are starting to have sensual dreams ignited in them by a space princess — someone they feel like their body knows, but whom they also do not know and cannot reach in this dimension,” Raveena shared in a press release. “What if your lover was enticing you from space and you couldn’t reach them in this realm? What if a spirit from an outer dimension ignited your sacral chakra? This is what ‘Secret’ explores.”
