Sandy Liang x Vans Reunite for Third Footwear and Apparel Collab
Featuring the Sk8-Hi, Authentic 44 DX and more.
Following their fuzzy kicks and SpongeBob SquarePants range, Sandy Liang and Vans are now returning for their third collaboration. Just like their previous releases, the upcoming collection features co-branded footwear and apparel.
In sneakers, the New York designer has reworked a total of six shoes. The Authentic 44 DX arrives in two iterations — one with smiley doodles and the other with floral graphics atop a black-and-white check pattern. The latter pair is complete with a mini pouch sitting atop the lacing system. Meanwhile, the Style 73 DX arrives with a black upper, which is contrasted with anime-inspired graphics throughout. The Sk8-Hi Tapered Modular comes with a detachable rubber sole and a lace trim collar for added versatility, while the Sk8-Hi 38 DX features floral embroidery on top of a green base. The footwear pack is complete with a fuzzy Half Cab 33 DX.
As for apparel, Liang has applied elements of nostalgia, humor and grandma fashion to everyday staples. Colorful butterfly illustrations take over a T-shirt, as well as a crossbody bag. Anime-style eye graphics are printed onto long-sleeved tees and hoodies, accompanying pale pink skorts, co-branded trousers and more.
