Timberland Taps PANGAIA for Slip-On Mule and 6-Inch Boot Capsule

Marking the pair’s first-ever collab.

PANGAIA and Timberland have teamed up for the very first time, to create an all-new footwear capsule collection inspired by Timberland’s signature silhouettes.

Designed with nature at the heart, the capsule consists of Timberland’s 6-Inch Boot and Slip-On Mule, reworked in PANGAIA colorways and partly-natural fabrics. The new boot offers a cleaner aesthetic, complete with tonal outsoles and flaps over the eyelets, made in part with renewable materials like responsibly grown rubber, abaca plant fiber and organically-grown cotton. Available in unisex sizing, the new boot comes in three colorways of “Galaxy Pink,” “Palm Green” and Timberland’s signature “Wheat.”

The Fabric Slip-On Mule boasts Timberland’s ‘Timberloop’ circular design, with both the outsole and inner bootie specifically engineered to be easily disassembled at the end of the shoe’s life. Consumers are asked to send the product back once its no longer in use, to allow its parts to be utilized to create something new. Available in a muted “Stone” colorway, the mule will be available exclusively at Timberland.

In keeping with both brands’ commitment to responsible design, each product in the capsule will feature a custom text-block explaining the material composition. Aiming to help educate consumers on sustainable practices and materials, the boot’s text reads “These boots are made in part using responsibly grown rubber, abaca plant fiber and organically grown cotton,” with the mule’s explaining that “These shoes are made in part using responsibly grown rubber, abaca plant fiber and organically grown cotton. They are designed for circularity.”

The new Timberland x PANGAIA footwear capsule will be available for purchase from November 3 from PANGAIA’s website, Timberland’s website and Timberland stores.
