Veja and Amélie Pichard Unveil a Sustainable Outdoors-Inspired Sneaker
Crafted from rice waste and organic cotton.
Instagram-favorite sneaker brand Veja has teamed up with Amélie Pichard to release an outdoors-inspired sneaker crafted from sustainable ingredients like sugar cane, rice waste, recycled polyester and organic cotton.
The collaborative effort delivers an adventure-ready show with a chunky sole, designed to tackle all types of terrain. The innovative silhouette offers the comfort and ease of a clog, while providing the street savvy of a sneaker. Arriving in a neautal color palette, the shoe’s design mimics mud found on the trails as Pichard wanted to give the impression
of a shoe in motion.
The shapely sneaker’s upper is constructed from 100 percent recycled polyester, while V-Knit is woven into one cohesive piece, eliminating excess fabric and avoiding waste.
