Casablanca's New Atlantis Sneaker Gets Official Release Date

Coming soon in two striking colorways.

The concept of Casablanca‘s first-ever sneaker was first teased back in June by the brand’s art director, Stevie Grimes, after its Paris Fashion Week showcase. Since then, fans have been patiently awaiting any more information about the shoe’s inspiration, colorways and most importantly: a release date.

Prayers have now been answered, as Casablanca has since officially announced its debut sneaker, designed in-house by founder and creative director Charaf Tajer, alongside Grimes. Dubbed the ‘Atlantis,’ the new sneaker looks remarkably different from what Grimes first teased, but is a pretty impressive foray into the footwear space nevertheless.

Drawing inspiration from the lost city of Atlantis, the sneaker’s design takes cues from the movement of water, showcased through its liquid-inspired wave sole. In contrast, the sneaker’s upper adopts the design language of the quintessential sports shoe, through details like perforated leather and punched suede accents.

Created with the aim of offering something “shockingly beautiful,” according to the brand’s press release, the Atlantis represents laid-back elegance and refinement, fusing Casablanca’s free-spirited identity with its luxurious construction. Available in two colorways of red or blue, the shoe boasts a branded Casablanca diamond rubber patch on its heel tab alongside woven Atlantis tongue label and gold lace tips.

Casablanca’s Atlantis sneaker is available to shop exclusively from Casablanca’s website on November 16, followed by a global release on November 18.
