Welcome Back G: Glossier Opens Brooklyn, New York Location
Offering an eclectic and elevated shopping experience.
Continuing its millennial pink brick-and-mortar expansion, Glossier has returned to New York to open its eighth storefront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, following its Philadelphia opening in October.
The Williamsburg location is an elevated experience from the brand’s previous Soho, New York loft-style store. “Glossier has grown up.” Roya Shariat, Senior Manager, Social Impact, said to Hypebae. The moody corner shop features warm textures and heritage neighborhood details. From the wooden, white facade trimming and gooseneck lamps, the updated store takes classic cues from the eclectic surroundings of Williamsburg. A perfect mix of old and new, Glossier kept true to its iconic touches, from the “You Look Good” mirrors to the innovative ways of product display and the interactive ways to experience its vast portfolio of skincare and makeup — etching out sheer brand identity.
At all of their retail locations, Glossier partners with area non-profits whose work directly impacts the local community. They’re proud to announce the launch of the exclusive Brooklyn Utility Bag and for each bag sold at the Williamsburg location, $5 USD will be donated to the Sadie Nash Leadership Project, whose mission is to empower and equip young women and gender-expansive youth of color.
Glossier has plans to return to Soho, New York, in early 2023.
