Prada Gives Its Classic Loafer the Ultimate Holiday Makeover
The brand’s rhinestone loafer is back, and it’s even better than last time.
Prada‘s classic loafer is a shoe that’s transcended generations, outfits and seasons for the longest time, but there’s no denying its holiday wardrobe appeal. The perfect accompaniment to any outfit, the sleek black loafer has made numerous appearances in celebrity style guides and outfit inspo mood boards and now, Prada has given the signature silhouette the ultimate party season update.
The black leather base has once again been drenched in hundreds of hand-applied rhinestones, similar to the brand’s Chinese Valentine’s Day offering, only this time it’s also complete with small silver-toned metal studs and sapphire-like stones. Arranged in a dizzying yet intentional display, the new loafer offers a more colorful take on previous iterations, but rhinestones still take center stage. In keeping with the silhouette’s typically minimal style, the loafer features the classic triangular Prada plaque, with a clean leather sole and heel tab.
