Rowing Blazers x Luke Edward Hall FW22 Travels Back in Time

It’s time for a history lesson.

Cult-classic brand Rowing Blazers has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 collaborative collection with Luke Edward Hall. The British artist and designer has been long-time friends with founder Jack Carlson as this marks their second collaboration since the brand’s launch.

The collection celebrates the pals’ overlapping interests as it is ripe with references to ancient artifacts. Hall loves classical motifs, while Carlson worked as a field archaeologist before founding the New York-based brand. “I am extremely thrilled to be working with Rowing Blazers again after our initial 2018 collaboration. This new collection expands upon our original offering, with prints and embroideries made from new drawings, as well as new colourways,” Hall shares in an exclusive press release.

The collection’s standout is a specially made woven shirt is covered in Hall’s watercolor Roman Forum illustration, which also appears on a crisp and clean white T-shirt. Meanwhile heavyweight rugby shirts offer a more subtle journey back in time as they are adorned with Greek vases on the chest. Tutankhamun’s golden mask sits regally on a candy-colored pink and red long-sleeved option.

Elsewhere, baseball caps showcase ruined columns, while the goddess Minerva, and Lupercal the she-wolf also make appearances in the historically-minded assortment of finely tailored clothing. Boldly striped double breasted suits adorned with eye-catching gold buttons also catch the eye. Sturdy tweed blazers, French terry loopback crewnecks, woven neckties and critter trousers ground the collection.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Committee for Latin and Greek for their inclusion projects. Take a look at Rowing Blazers x Luke Edward Hall’s FW22 collection in the gallery above, which is available to shop on the brand’s website.
