Get a Closer Look at Donkey Kong and Cat Mario in the New 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' Trailer

Updated (January 30, 2023): The new trailer of The Super Mario Bros. Movie offers a closer glimpse into some of your favorite video game characters, including Donkey Kong and Cat Mario.
The new trailer is the first time fans get to hear Donkey Kong’s voice, who is brought to life thanks to Seth Rogen. On the other hand, it’s also the first time we get to see Mario, who’s voiced by Chris Pratt, in his Cat Mario suit.
In addition to Rogen and Chris Pratt, the film also stars the voices of Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach) and Keegan-Michael Key (Toad).

ORIGINAL (November 29, 2022): The first official trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie has finally arrived, giving viewers a closer look of their favorite video game characters, including Mario (Chris Pratt), Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Luigi (Charlie Day), Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), Bowser (Jack Black) and Toad (Keegan-Michael Key). The new preview comes nearly two months after the first teaser was released.
In the official trailer, the plot of the film is presented. Bowser is trying to take over the world; however, Mario is in the way. Princess Peach decides to help Mario and forms an army with Toad and other citizens of Mushroom Kingdom.
“There’s a huge universe out there with a lot of galaxies,” says Peach. “They’re all counting on us … No pressure.”
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is expected to hit theaters on April 7, 2023. Watch the first official trailer and revisit the teaser below.
