Casetify Spotlights Yayoi Kusama in Latest Tech Accessories Collaboration

In celebration of a major exhibition opening at Hong Kong’s M+ museum.

Casetify, which recently dropped collaborations with Sailor Moon, Harry Potter, BLACKPINK and more, is highlighting the iconic works of Yayoi Kusama in its latest release.

The tech accessories collection is a partnership with Hong Kong’s M+ museum, which is set to open a major retrospective exhibition dedicated to the Japanese artist. Titled “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now,” the show will be an exploration of Kusama’s career while featuring three never-before-seen works.

Marking another art collaboration for Casetify (the company has previously teamed up with the Louvre and The Met), the lineup is comprised of four phone cases printed each printed with Kusama’s famous works, including Sex Obsession, 1992; Pound of Repose, 2014; and We Who Are Captivated by the Utmost Beauty of Everything We Know and Shed Tears as We Were Monstrously Touched by the Mystery of the Beauty, 2019. The fourth case features an image of Kusama shot by Eikoh Hosoe.

Take a look at the designs in the gallery above. The M+ x Casetify collaboration will launch exclusively on the museum’s website and physical store. “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now” will open from November 12 through May 14, 2023.
