Nik Bentel's Newest Bag Is All About the Drip

Inspired by the cyclical thawing and freezing of water.

Nik Bentel‘s latest creation is all about the drip, in more ways than one. The New York-based designer’s newest release draws inspiration from the upcoming winter months, taking cues from the “continual thawing and freezing” that we’re subject to, year after year.

Dubbed ‘The Drip Bag,’ Bentel’s design is inspired by H20, created with vegan leather and chromed steel. The bag comes complete with a custom blue box, and will be available in a limited run (in signature Bentel fashion) of just 100 pieces. To create his masterpiece, the designer 3D-printed each metal component, creating individual moulds and casting the metal on top of each piece. Next came the bag’s leather construction, with each piece moulded to create its unique tear-drop shape.

Bentel’s newest bag follows an eclectic range of life-inspired designs, including the recent Absolut Espresso Martini Bag, Shipping Box Bag and both iterations of the Pasta Bag, all of which continue to sell out at every drop.

The latest addition will be available for purchase from Nik Bentel’s website on December 15, retailing for $190 USD.
