Sarah Bahbah Explores the Emotions That Come With Saying "I Love You" for the First Time
In her latest short film titled ‘I_________YOU.’
Celebrating the season of love, artist Sarah Bahbah has unveiled her latest work — a short film titled I_________YOU. The four-minute clip explores the emotions one goes through before saying “I love you” to their partners for the very first time.
“Three words, eight letters. Approximately seven heartbreaks and 463 nights of tears soaking into my living room carpet,” Nailea Devora narrates. “More people are heartbroken than they are whole. I was one of them, maybe I still am. But then, there was you,” she continues. “Ugh, of course, you came when I declared I was done with the four-letter word.” She continues to spiral into a whirlwind of emotions as she decides whether she should say “I love you” first or not. “I guess I’ll just keep dancing to our rhythm. Making you listen to songs that subtly tell you how I really feel. Until one of us says it, first.”
Bahbah commented on her new short film: “It’s a really cute piece and will definitely tug a lot of heart strings. It’s my first work that emulates a healthy love story, based purely on my relationship with my current partner.”
