Netflix Announces Season 2 of 'Alice in Borderland'

10 of the original cast members will be returning to the dystopian Japanese TV show.

Netflix‘s beloved Japanese show Alice in Borderland is returning with Season 2. In a video posted on YouTube, the streamer confirmed that it has wrapped up production for the sophomore installment, along with the returning cast members.

For those who have yet to watch the series, Alice in Borderland follows Arisu and Usagi, who find themselves in a dystopian world where people are forced to participate in mysterious “games” for survival. The first season was ranked Netflix’s Top 10 in 70 different countries.

Ten characters who managed to survive in Season 1 will be returning, including Arisu (Kento Yamazaki), Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya), Chishiya (Nijiro Murakami), Ann (Ayaka Miyoshi), Niragi (Dori Sakurada), Kuina (Aya Asahina), Aguni (Sho Aoyagi) and Mira (Riisa Naka). “We had these really large-scale scenes everyday and the world of the show is bigger than ever. I enjoyed filming the show very much and look forward to the final production,” Yamazaki shares in the clip.

Watch the cast members speak about the upcoming release in the video above. Alice in Borderland Season 2 will hit Netflix in December 2022.
