Ariana Grande Gives an Update on Her Next Era in Music
The singer shares the status of AG7.
Ariana Grande is busier than ever these days. So much so, that she revealed she isn’t working on new music as of now.
“This is a question I’m nervous to answer, but I feel like I want to have a little bit of transparency and honesty with my fans. Why not, ya know?” the singer-slash-songwriter said in a r.e.m. beauty Q+A video.
“The truth is I have not begun an album,” she continued. “I hear through the grapevine that you have a lot of theories and expectations in that department. After Positions, [I] was not ready to start another album, so I have not begun another album.”
Grande also revealed that she shifted her focus on other projects, such as The Voice, r.e.m. beauty and Wicked, which she couldn’t be more excited about. In November 2021, it was announced that Grande had been cast as Glinda in the highly anticipated two-part films.
“Thank goodness, literally, the most incredible gift of my entire life is, you know, this role that I’ve adored since I [was] 10 years old, and that is going to have every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my soul, my everything that I can give it,” she explained. “So my hands are quite full with a lot of other thrillifying work at the moment.”
